O Almighty, Aeternal, Thou True & Living God: O Origin of Heaven & of Earth, O Source of all things visible & invisible: now (even now, at length) among other Thy manifold mercies used, & to be used, toward me, Thy diligent aspirant, I most earnestly beseech thee, in this my present petition, to make the manifestation of Thy Omnipotence, Thy Omnipresence, & Thy Love, apparent, even to my darkened, & limited apprehension.
By the method of science, with the aim of religion, I have sought among men, upon earth, & also by prayer, spoken, silent, spontaneous, & rehearsed, have made suit unto Thy Divine Majesty for the obtaining of some convenient Portion of True Knowledge, Understanding, & Wisdom, as established in the natures, properties, & effects of Thy creatures;
By which inkling, through the configuration of Event which is Thy communication with my soul, the Pure Joy that is Existence, has been by Implication, & will be by Expression, to me unveiled, even in all that seemeth sorrowe;
It allures me for the same incessantly to proclaim the word of the Law & the Joy of the World, by speech & by silence, in word, thought, & deed, among all people, & for ever.
And whereas it has pleased Thee (O God), in Thy infinite Goodness, by Thy faithful & holy Spiritual Messengers, to deliver unto me long since an orderly form & manner of exercise Theurgic, as well as means & assistance necessary to its practice:
how, to Thy Honor & Glory, & the comfort of my own soul, & of others who aspire to Thee, I may at all times, use very many of Thy Good Angels, their counsels & helps: according to the properties of such their Functions & Offices, as to them, by Thy Divine Wisdom, Understanding, & Goodness, is assigned, & limited: (which orderly form, & manner of exercise, I attempt, even now, to apply myself unto).
Therefore, I, Thy diligent aspirant, do most humbly, heartily, & faithfully beseech Thy Divine Majesty, most lovingly & fatherly to favor, & by Thy Divine Beck to further this my present industry & endeavor to exercise myself, according to the aforesaid orderly form & manner:
& now (at length, but not too late) for Thy dearly Beloved Son IESVS CHRIST His sake (O Heavenly Father) to grant also unto me, this blessing & portion of Thy Heavenly Graces: that Thou wilt forthwith enable me, make me apt, & acceptable (in body, soul, & spirit), to enjoy all ways the holy & friendly conversation, with the sensible, plain, full & perfect help, (in word & deed) of Thy mighty, wise & good Spiritual Messengers & Ministers generally:
& namely of Blessed Zaphkiel, Blessed Zadkiel, Blessed Cumæl, Blessed Raphæl, Blessed Haniel, Blessed Michæl, Blessed Gabriel, & Blessed Uriel; unto all those which do appertain unto Thy Great Seal, which is Truth, unto the Holy Table, unto The Great Table of the Elements & unto the Sigils of all who Govern drawn therefrom, unto the Calls of the Æthyrs, unto the Tables & Seals Heptarchial; especially, unto the Tables, Seals, and Calls Logæth; &, also, unto all other tables, seals, calls, prayers, instructions, or aught else, to these belonging.
And in this Thy great Motivation & Inspiration, on me bestowed, & to me confirmed, O Thou Almighty & Ineffable, Thou shalt, (to the great comfort of Thy diligent aspirants) approve, to Thy very enemies, & mine, the truth & certainty of Thy manifold, most inspiring Promises, heretofore made unto me: & that Thou art indeed the True & Almighty God, Whose Existence, Permutation, & Individuality are One, upon Whom I do call, & in Whom I put all my trust, & Thy Ministers, to be the true & faithful Angles of Light: which have hitherto, principally, & according to Thy Divine Providence, dealt with us:
& also I, Thy diligent aspirant, shall then, founded thus as I will be in & by Thee, be better able to apprehend, labor in, & accomplish the my true will, which is Thy Beauty, & the essence of Thy Splendour, Thy Victory, Thy Power, & Thy Glory:
Yea, even in the shadow of these most miserable & lamentable days.
Grant, oh grant, O ourThou Almighty & Ineffable, grant this (I pray thee), for Thy only begotten Son IESUS CHRIST, his sake, through, in, for, & by Whom, the Great Work is accomplished.
